Bomb Grade Uranium Sting handed to Press when Uncooperative Russians Upset Georgian Interior Minister

It will come as no surprise to anyone that the Russians are proving to be uncooperative with former satellite state turned independent country the Republic of Georgia.    The two countries have been battling each other over gas and energy for over a year now.

That battle has now spilled into the international terrorism campaign as Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili of the Republic of Georgia revealed that a sting had occurred that netted a man carrying bomb grade uranium in a plastic bag last year.

The Sting was conducted by the Republic of Georgia and aided by the US CIA.

Uncooperative Russians Hiding Information about Scope of Threat

The problem is that the Republic of Georgia is claiming that mother Russia is not cooperating.  They are not providing information of the Uranium's source.  Therefore we still do not know a year after the fact if these potential terrorists had access to a stock pile of Uranium or just a small amount.

Regardless it is enough to trigger a dirty bomb and that is frightening enough, but very strange that the Interior Minister would come forward to the press hoping to score a Russian black eye to move the investigation along.
