Epocrates is a great software solution that has been used by doctors and medical practitioners for years on handheld devices and PDA's. Recently Epocrates provided a release indicating that they are taking their solution online and providing even more tools for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and others to benefit from.
For example, if a doctor wanted to prescribe Zithromax they could look up the dosage requirements through Epocrates online and determine how much to prescribe based on a patients various characteristics. They could also find generic equivalents and print off some general information on the product to provide or mention to their patient such as usage instructions warnings about side effects.
